I have been searching a while for a new vehicle.

I have met many car salesmen and the treatment in other dealership's were less courteous.

When I drove to Nissan Ferntree Gully, I was greeted by Marino, who's personality and demeanour and smile was very courteous and might I add 'non-condescending'

Being female and visiting other dealership I was often not taken serious when it came to purchasing a vehicle.

I was looking for a reliable family car and spoke to Marino about my needs both personally and financially.

Marino then spoke very fondly of the Nissan x-trail and had nothing but great reviews of this vehicle.

He took my financial position/needs seriously.

Being a single mum with two kids I work on a certain budget.

Marino then introduced me to Scott (business manager) who also assisted me in working on a budget that I could afford and was very happy with.

Upon taking this car on a test drive, Marino recommended that I also take this vehicle over night in order to really see if the vehicle would suit, my needs and that of my family.

I was overwhelmed and grateful with Marino's suggestion and thanked him for the opportunity to test this vehicle overnight.

I was even more convinced that this vehicle was the one I was looking for and informed Marino of this and the rest is history.

above-mentioned Nissan Tilda.

I completed this transaction on behalf of my mother in law, which Paul
significantly simplified.

Faced with the time issues of having to repair a slightly damaged car (trade
in) Paul came up with a solution that resolved the issue.

Furthermore, the understanding displayed to my mother in law at the time of

I just want to take a few minutes just to say a big thank you to Alister Hay
and all the team at FTG Nissan. It all started with a phone call to FTG
Nissan and i was very pleased with the way my phone call was handled. I
spoke to a family member who has purchased 4 new cars from FTG and was told
to go in and see someone so this I did. I was looking at purchasing a new
Navara ST-R 4x4. I walked into the show room and was greeted by reception
and that is where my buying experience started. That is when I meet Mark
Fait & Alister Hay.

I want to thank Alistar very much for his help in my purchasing of the
Navara and all the work he put into it. Well done.

I would also like to thank Scott Wendt the business manager who made it very

Hi Paul,

A few weeks back you sold my wife Kylie and I, a Silver 2003 Toyota Prado,
WFZ 230.

I have already put a couple of thousand kays on the car and would just like
to say that I love it! When we spoke on the phone ( you gave me a courtesy
call about a week after the sale) I mentioned a couple of minor things such
as the loose window switch console and loose rear wheelarch flare which we
agreed we'd sort out when I bring it in for its service. Apart from these
little things the car is going great and I couldn't be happier.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to say thank you for making the whole
experience as pleasant as possible. You probably recall how stressed I was
on the day but I cannot fault the way you or any of the staff there at FTG
Nissan treated us during the buying process. It's the level of customer
service I would expect if buying a new prestige car such as a BMW or
Mercedes, not merely a used Toyota!

I will definately recommend you if I come across anyone needing to buy a car
and when it comes time to upgrade from the Prado, I'll definately keep you
in mind (depending of course on what I decide to replace it with).

Thank you for the greatest experience with buying a new Nissan Patrol.

I can nearly park it straight now!! The kids are rapt with all the space
they don't have to touch each other! Husband is happy he doesn't have to
come and rescue me from breaking down. I have had the first service and was
blown away again at the high quality of customer service. I can fully
recommend FTG Nissan too anyone looking at buying a new car.

I was dreading looking at cars and deciding on which would suit us. My
husband has a Nissan Patrol Diesel work ute and he loves it. He was
determined to get me to look at the Nissan Patrol 7 seater's. We came to look at same
second hand 4WD's but went to the new car yard by mistake.

There we were meet by Theo, he did not try to change our minds and gave
us the directions to the second hand yard, he even showed me what the new
4WD's looked like .We looked at second hand then came back.

We took the car out for a test drive and I was impressed with the
vehicles
performance and the space it had inside it. I am very pleased with the car
and the service that was provided to me and my family.

Last Monday the 14th April we picked up our new car and have some
observations to make on the whole process:

It has been clearly apparent in the dealings we've had with a range of
individuals that you either have terrific training scheme or you only employ
a certain kind of person because everyone was incredibly knowledgeable and
more than willing to answer our many questions. It was also clear that it
is considered a collective responsibility to look after customers and no-one
tried to palm us off because it wasn't their job.

Our salesperson Alister was very knowledgeable about the vehicles and was
able to honestly answer any questions we had. He was a pleasant person to
deal with and we didn't feel at all pressured or that we were dealing with
someone we didn't trust. Probably the only thing I would say is that he
could have pointed out to us when we about to sign the contract that it was
final and that there was no cooling off period - we had no intentions of not
buying the car but it might have been nice to know. I concede that this was
something I should have known but I also think that he could have said
something. This is not a big deal but it has concerned me a little as it
was the only thing I can fault about the whole experience.

We love the car and would certainly recommend the dealership to others.

Dear Craig,

Thank you for your letter dated 10 April 2008 concerning our recent purchase of a new X-Trail T31.
As you are aware, we traded our 2003 model X-Trail for the new one. We didn’t consider alternatives to the X-Trail because we had had such a good run with the T30 model. It provided reliable transport, economy and comfort and had sufficient 4WD capability to be used as an all road vehicle. You may or may not be aware that we tow an A’van Cruiseliner and we found the X-Trail T30 to be ideal as a tow vehicle and still give excellent economy.
To sum up, every now and again a manufacturer designs and produces a good all round balanced vehicle and I believe Nissan has done that with the X-Trail. OK, so why trade it is the obvious question? The answer is that although the X-Trail T30 had served us well, it had over 100,000 km on the odometer and the new X-Trail T31 had significant extra safety features.
As you are aware, since the introduction of the T31 model, Nissan offered loyalty reward to existing X-Trail owners. Consequently we went to a number Nissan distributors (I don’t wish to name them) but we received only mediocre attention. I mentioned this to my daughter and son-in law (Melanie and Greg Joyce of Bakers Delight - Boronia Junction who recently purchased a Navara from FT Gully Nissan) and they recommended that we try FT Gully Nissan.
The difference was immediately noticeable; all of the sales team were friendly, welcoming and hospitable; and most importantly, showed considerable interest in our requirements. A test drive was organized and our existing vehicle valued with minimal fuss. And although your staff were working hard to make and close the sale they were not overly “pushy”. We finally reached common ground for the purchase and signed the agreement. Throughout the negotiations we were treated as valued customers. Russell Maher, Alister Hay and Mark Fait deserve specific mention.
Delivery took place on 9 April 15 2008 and it was pleasing to see the vehicle had been detailed properly and that all details on the agreement had been attended to. I guess that one would expect nothing else but one often hears otherwise. In particular, Alister and Kellie Broomhill explained the after sales service that FT Gully offer, introduced the service and spare parts managers and lastly Alister showed and demonstrated the features of our new X-Trail from front to back.
I look forward to your after sales service. I believe that the service that your sales staff demonstrated will continue. I have already booked the first 1000km service for Thursday the 24 April 2008 and Robyn Ivinson certainly indicated as much.
Finally, I would have no concerns recommending FT-Gully to other prospective Nissan drivers.

I am writing to thank everyone at Fern tree Gully Nissan and in particular Tim Cook, for the outstanding service and level of professionalism I received during our recent purchase of a 2008 Nissan X-Trail.

Having previously run a fleet of Subaru Forester vehicles for many years, we were reluctant to consider changing to Nissan. My first visit to FTG Nissan was in January, and from the moment I stepped onto the lot I was greeted by Mark and then introduced to Tim. From there I was overwhelmed by the service I received. Having visited several Ford and Subaru dealerships over the previous 2 weeks, the difference was nothing short of incredible! Tim’s knowledge of the X-Trail combined with his pleasant and relaxed demeanor was refreshing to say the least.

Not only did he organize for an immediate valuation of my vehicle, he offered a test drive then and there! I felt no pressure at any stage and I left being promised a quote by the end of the day. That was exactly what I got and after further negotiations Subaru had lost our business.

Throughout the time consuming process of company purchase orders and Board approval, Tim was courteous and patient and answered all phone calls and emails promptly.

On Saturday the 15th March I took delivery and again from the moment I stepped into the Show Room I was warmly greeted by all. We are writing to thank you for the wonderful experience we had buying our 2006 Nissan Tiida.

After looking for a car for months on end we became frustrated at the lack of assistance and honesty from the dealerships we visited. Ferntree Gully Nissan was a breath of fresh air for us.

We would like to thank Paul Brown in particular for the excellent customer service we received. Paul was one of the only sales people that contacted us after we left our details on the internet. When we came to look at the car he greeted us with a smile, provided us with plenty of information, wasn't pushy or in a rush and in the end struck a fantastic deal with us.

On the day of pick up we were so impressed with how smoothly everything went. With all the little details taken care of (having a full tank of petrol, our next auto service complete, papers organized) the only thing left to worry about was driving the new car home in bucketing rain!

It was with regret that my wife said to me that she wanted to get another car to carry the dogs around in. The Pulsar was fantastic, never a moments problems, except for the dog hair on the back seat, so it had to go. Suzie thought the X-Trail would do the trick, put the dogs in the back and keep them off the seats, this meant I was off to the car yard (I would rather go to the dentist and have all my teeth out).

 

First stop, FTG Nissan, used cars (what am I doing here) trying not to look conspicuous looking at used X-Trails, enter Bruce Stenhouse. "Can I help you" said Bruce, "Just looking at the moment, interested in x-trails but not buying today". Bruce asked who will be driving the car, I said . my wife,he turned to Suzie and asked her if she knew much about the X-trail, she replied that she didn't. Well, Bruce dumped me, grabbed Suzie and took her all over the car, showed her under the bonnet, in the back, interior, safety features, difference between ST, Ti and Ti-L. The fact that Bruce knew that we were not buying today and he spent so much of his time showing us around the car astounded me. We left soon after and started the serious side of getting another car.

 

Next Saturday, instead of sneaking in I found Bruce and said, lets forget the used cars and start looking at a new one, after a short time of working out a price, the deal was done, next step was choosing the colour, extras, finance and getting rid of the pulsar. We sold the pulsar privately and there was a few days we would be without a car, I rang Bruce up and explained my problem, within an hour we were driving a loan car. If this type of service keeps up we will not have a problem with FTG Nissan I mentioned to Suzie.

 

It turned out to be a pleasure to buy a new car rather than a chore, nothing was to much trouble for anyone, if all your car sales people are like Bruce Stenhouse you will have no problem selling a lot of Nissans. Special thanks to Scott, Kellie and Russell as well.

This is my first brand new car that I have bought and you and the team at Ferntree Gully Nissan made it a very enjoyable experience for me. I had no idea what to expect in the Ferntree Gully Nissan showroom after I received a reply by email from my enquiry at www.carsales.com.au. However, as soon as I walked into your showroom I could feel the vibes of harmony, integrity and team spirit. Many people were working together for the benefit of me, the customer. This gave me a sense of calmness and a feeling that this is definitely the right place to buy my car. At the time I didn’t know that this dealership had won so many awards for customer service and excellence but now I can understand why.

 

From our first meeting I was shown all the features of the Nissan Tiida, first in brochures and then on the car itself. You were patient, understanding and considerate of my individual needs. Although you were factual about the Tiida you also incorporated lots of good humour in your explanations. Thanks Alister. I didn’t know that buying a car could be so much fun!

 

After finally deciding on Polar White for the colour I paid my deposit. Within two weeks my new car was shipped in with the extra features added and ready to drive away from your showroom. Everything went smoothly from day one.

 

When I came in to collect my car Scott finalised my receipt and Kellie gave me a very thorough overview of how to book in for regular services. She then introduced me to Craig in the servicing department. I was impressed with the services that you have to offer while my car is being serviced, especially your free courtesy car or shuttle bus and the waiting lounge.

 

Now, after having driven my new car for a few days, I am enjoying the on-road experience of the Tiida. It’s so easy to drive and I feel as though I’m floating on air. The rear sensors are literally sensational and the central locking, automatic transmission, power steering and safety features make a great combination of both freedom with security. Yes, I am thoroughly enjoying getting from A to B in my Nissan Tiida.

 

Ferntree Gully Nissan’s excellence has already started to spread by word of mouth to my friends and family and I’m looking forward to returning to you for my regular services.

Hi Craig,

Darren and I would like to thank Greg Eckfield & Scott Wendt for being so helpful with regards to buying the Nissan and with the Finance of the car. 

In regards to the finance we received a very good quote from our Accountants through one of their Finance Companies which we unfortunately decided to go ahead with but from the 11th May (we were supposed to collect the car on the 19th May, actually mid week) until the 25th May we were filling in and signing document after document and by Friday, the 25th May they still did not have approval for the Finance.  I had spent hours and hours emailing and talking to the Accountant and the Finance Company & was extremely disappointed with the outcome. After deciding enough was enough with this Finance Company because of their incompetence & lack of any kind of Procedure for Financing cars, I  rang Greg to advise we no longer wanted to deal with this Finance Company and Scott emailed & rang me Friday to advise the Finance was approved and we could collect the car Friday, 25th May... that is fantastic Service.  Darren was unable to leave work before 7.00 PM Friday or Monday so he collected the car on Tuesday spending less than an hour to collect the car from Greg & sign for the Finance with Scott only requiring the following information:-

Drivers License

Rates Notice

Proof of income

Certificate of Insurance

Names, Addresses and phone numbers of 2 people as a reference point for the financier

Visa for the 1st payment and account number to set the direct debit up

So thank you for having such competent and helpful staff with Procedures in place that make life so much easier for your Customers.  Darren and I will recommend Nissan FTG to anyone we know wanting to purchase and finance a new or used car.

We bought our first ever new car off Russell and the service was excellent. I had been looking at Nissan X Trails for a while and I had done my homework on what I wanted accessories etc.

I found Russell was very down to earth, and didn't make you look like a fool, like Blackburn Nissan did. I did go to Croydon where I could get a great deal, but Russell beat them with a better price. Also when I rang my insurance company I was enquiry on  how much would it cost to get an 2007 xtrail insured , they told me said there wasn't an ST  X Trail on their system, so maybe the plates were 2007 compliant and not built in 2007. Russell showed me that the car we were getting was built in Jan 2007, an compliant in 2007. So I was relieved as the ones at Croydon and Blackburn were both built in 2006 ,but compliant in 2007

The service that everyone gave was great. Russell spent quality time going over the car, and making sure when we were signing the contract that what we were getting everything we had asked for.

When our money came through I rang Bronie to say that they have come through and to get the car ready for pick up on Thursday.

I then rang my car insurance AAMI and told them that I wanted cover for the Nissan 2007 ST . They again told me that there isn't a 2007 ST XTrail on the system and only STS and TI were on their systems as 2007.

I advised them that I saw the plates. They would not take my word, and I said if I could ring the car dealer to ring you so this could  get sorted out. Russell wasn't in the day I rang ,and told me if he wasn't there to ring Bronie. I rang Bronie and told her of the situation and could she ring AAMI for me as they were going to insure the car as a 2006 and not 2007. Bronie said she will call me back as soon as she gets off the phone from AAMI  Bronie rang about 5-10 mins later and told me that everything was fixed up with Aami, they just needed me to ring again and give some more personal details

I rang Aami and the car is now insured as 2007.

Everyone at Nissan FT Gully was great.

I would like to thank Russell and Bronie for going that extra mile.

PS Its a great feeling driving a new car, and we love it!!!

My son purchased a Nissan Navara - Single Cab from your dealership late last year. When I told him that I was looking at a used X-Trail from another dealership, he advised me to call at F T G Nissan and see what was on offer as he is very pleased with the service he has received.

 

While looking at your used X-Trails my wife and I were assisted by your salesperson Ryan Nicholls, he told us that there wasn't a vehicle to compare with the X-Trail we had seen elsewhere and was disappointed he couldn't help us. The conversation then moved to the possibility of a new vehicle as there were "special deals" on offer. Ryan arranged to have our vehicle appraised as a "trade in" and proceeded to offer a total purchase price on a new X-Trail. The initial price was more than we had intended to spend - particularly as we were only looking for a second-hand vehicle. Ryan was very keen for us to come to terms with a favourable package and after much discussion with him and Michael Banjinan we agreed on a package and signed up for a new X-Trail. Ryan and Michael were most helpful and professional in all aspects of the negotiations, and all were pleased with the outcome.

 

Bronie Reynolds gave us advice on window tinting, paint protection etc. Her suggestions were excellent and assisted us in our choice of accessories. We thank Bronie for her valuable assistance.
